A Note About Solinger's Resort
Hello Dear Reader,
I wanted to take a moment to make note of where my uncle and I stayed while up in Pelican Rapids for the week in 2018. Maybe not necessarily to try and sell you on making a trip all the way to Minnesota to go fishing. I am writing this entire story about the trip with my uncle to try and give you inspiration to get outdoors and enjoy the time you have with friends and family while you have it. I also just want to have these memories saved and written to share with my children.
I will say however, that if you do decide to make a trip up to Lida, Solinger's Resort is a fine place to hang your hat while you are there. The Solinger family has been in the lakeside resort business for over a century. The particular property they are on now has been in business since 1945. And it shows why these fine folk have been so successful
They have multiple different houses at differing rates ranging from two person stays to large family homes. They helped us with our boat, gasoline, bait; if we needed it they had it. Being as far from home as we were, the folks that run the establishment helped us feel comfortable and right at home.
