Hello everyone. For those on Spring Break, have some fun! For the rest of us, school is almost out. Anyway, Third time out at Weimer Lake and I caught me a little bass. Nothing to write home about, but well...I am anyway. I've pinned one spot on the lake where fish hold. The fact that Weimer isn't massive like Lake Monroe is definitely a plus for me. Curious where it is? I guess you'll have to come fishing at Weimer! It's really not hard to find. Nonetheless, its one spot I know I can go to and more than likely catch something. Despite catching another fish there, I have a bigger reason for going on and on and on about it; I caught it on a lure. No live bait used. What's more is I was able to get a couple different bites on different spinners over there.

Next task is to find where the bigger fish are.

I know this is old but have you had any more luck at Wiemer Lake? Is it worth going for Bass? I used to go there as a kid but only for bluegill

Hey Brett, don't know if you are still around but I wanted to get a response out. Wiemer actually was drained over the past year due to the dam having cracks and leaks. It was a fun little lake though. I caught maybe a two pound bass out of there at one point, but nothing beyond that. When the water began to get lower, I saw some decent looking bass near the dam where it was deepest. All the fish were congregating there which is kind of sad to see.
